This past year Taylor was blessed with opportunities to test with two of the biggest names in racing: Kyle Busch Motorsports and Roush Fenway Racing. It is a testament to both Taylor’s talent and hard work that these fantastic teams asked him to join them on the track for a day. 2011 brings more exciting opportunities for Taylor as he continues pursuing his goal of racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
Taylor got some great advice from top racers on both teams.
Kyle Busch of Kyle Busch Motorsports and driver of the #18 M&M’s car told Taylor:
“You’re doing good. It just takes time; you need as much practice as you can get. The more you’re in the car the better you’ll get. Focus on one corner at a time, don’t try to take on the whole track at once.”
David Ragan of Roush Racing and driver of the UPS car had this advice for Taylor:
“Race as much as you can. When you get in the big cars you really have to slow them down to make the turn cause they do not turn like a super late model. So in order to get it to slow down, get the car pointed and then hit the gas.”
